Intercontinental Bordeaux Le Grand Hôtel
Located in the historic center, facing the Corinthian columns of the Grand Théâtre, the Intercontinental Bordeaux Le Grand Hotel enjoys a privileged position in the magnificent wine region of southeastern France
The Intercontinental Bordeaux Le Grand Hotel is the emblem of the city’s splendor and charm. Though right in the heart of the action, it remains proudly discreet, standing as Aquitaine’s showcase of taste, gastronomy, tradition, style, ambition, and luxury.
What makes it a landmark is its façade, dating back to 1789: after years of glory followed by decline, it was purchased at auction by Michel Ohayon in 1999 and reopened on December 17, 2007.
Eight years of renovation and restoration – a period interrupted by a significant halt in work due to the discovery of archaeological remains – brought back not just a hotel, but a jewel of hospitality. The lighting bears the prestigious signature of Zonca Lighting, once again working alongside the great French designer Jacques Garcia to reinterpret ancient atmospheres in a project of immense artistic and design value. Zonca’s soft lighting emanates from the numerous wall sconces, with pleated lampshades creating a warm, refined, and comfortable setting. The same ambiance extends to the hotel’s two restaurants, Le Pressoir d’Argent and Brasserie Le Bordeaux, both managed by Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay—known worldwide from MasterChef to Hell’s Kitchen.
An eclectic mix of tones, flavors, atmospheres, and refinement, capable of seducing even the most cosmopolitan traveler.
