Situated in the old town centre, facing the Corinthian columns of the Grand Théâtre, the InterContinental Bordeaux Le Grand Hôtel is in a privileged position, in the magnificent wine-growing region of the south-west of France.

The Intercontinental Bordeaux Grand Hotel is the emblem of the city’s splendour and charm. Despite being centrally located, it is proudly discrete and is the Aquitaine showcase for good taste, fine dining, tradition, style, ambition and luxury.
What makes this a symbolic place is the façade that dates back to 1789: after years of splendour followed by decay, it was purchased at auction by Michel Ohayon in 1999 and reopened on 17 December 2007.
Eight years of restoration and renovation – a period also interrupted by a considerable stop to the works after discovering important archaeological finds – were needed to restore to the public not simply a hotel but a jewel of hospitality.
The lighting is brought by the prestigious hand of Zonca Lighting, once more alongside the great French designer, Jacques Garcia, in rethinking an ancient atmosphere in a project of enormous artistic and design depth: the soft lighting by Zonca comes from numerous wall appliques, pleated lampshades that create a welcoming, refined, comfortable scene.
The same that extends to the hotel’s two restaurants, Le Pressoir d’Argent and Brasserie Le Bordeaux, both managed by the starred chef Gordon Ramsay, of “Masterchef” and “Hell’s Kitchen” fame, a universal television celebrity chef.
